Essaouira and the Atlantic coast

Prepare to trip from the vibrant Marrakech to the serene coastal of Essaouira, a glowing pearl adoring the North African shoreline.

At 8:OO  we start our drive from Marrakech and we venture westward towards Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. In the beginning, you will cross the argan trees forest  and Witness some goats balancing on the trees for foliage. Usually,  this behavior observed when grazing pasture is scarce on the ground.    

As a result, the region is famous for several women cooperatives, visit one of them and learn about the ancient art of argan oil production.

Eventually, arriving at Essaouira, we enter the city through one of its historical gates to traverse the labyrinthine streets of the medina. Ascend to the Portuguese fortress, which in the 16^th Century was one of their navigational ports of call.

On the other hand, stop to visit the Essaouira museum, which bears the name of the founder, Mohammed Ben Abdellah. Thus, you will be captivated by discoveries such as archaeological finds from the Island of Mogador . Also, you will see some Berber jewelry crafted by various neighboring tribes.  Explore some of local art galleries specializing in Thuya wood, and then visit the fishing harbour to see the colourful maritime culture of Mogador.

After your guided exploration, you will have free time to explore at your own pace. Lose yourself in the lively souks to discover hidden treasures, or take time for a stroll along the beach.  

Finally, at 5:00 am bid farewell to the enchanting shores of Mogador and rendezvous with our driver to head back to Marrakech.
